I am a Chartered Engineer and Chartered IT Professional and have been a specialist in data centre design, operations and technical management for more than 25 years, holding senior positions in global organisations. Now operating as a Consultant and Technical Advisor supporting all aspects of the Data Centre Lifecycle including energy efficiency. I am now routinely involved in Technical Due Diligence for data centre investors and operators.
I am regularly asked to speak at international data centre events and am considered a thought leader in the sector as well as being involved in multiple technical and advisory boards. Beyond that I am involved in the development of International Data Centre Standards and have been the Technical Editor and Committee Chair of the European Commission Code of Conduct on Data Centre Energy Efficiency since 2013. This document now underpins the EU Taxonomy and CSRD reporting requirements.
